Gerety Awards Final Deadline approaches as Los Angeles Jury Insight Panel Brings Local Industry Closer to the Work
With the final deadline for the 2026 Gerety Awards set for May 15, the spotlight is turning to the ideas that will define the year — both globally and within the US creative community.
As part of the lead-up to judging, Gerety will host a Jury Insight Panel in Los Angeles, bringing together members of the 2026 executive jury to share perspectives on creativity, emerging trends, and what it takes for work to stand out at this year’s awards.
The session forms part of Gerety’s wider global programme, connecting local industry conversations with an international judging process that includes more than 260 jurors from over 50 countries, meeting across 15 cities worldwide.
Moderated by Colin Costello, Editor at Reel 360, the panel will feature:
• Valerie Carlson, Global CCO, Critical Mass & Jury President
• Kelly Bayett, Managing Partner, Love Song / Founder, Barking Owl
• Bernice Chao, Head of Creative, Petlibro
These panels offer an opportunity to hear directly from the voices shaping the shortlist — right after the executive jury sessions taking place in early June.
The creative discussion will be taken beyond the jury room following the judging, with the highest-scoring work being featured in the Gerety Shortlist Showcase — a curated 30-minute film shared with over 1,400 past and present jury members across more than 60 countries. The reel is widely circulated among senior creative leaders and their teams, creating a collective moment where the industry engages with the work shaping the year.
