Gerety Awards Sets Final Deadline of May 15 as Jury Insights and Global Screenings Bring the Industry Closer to the Work
With the final entry deadline set for May 15, the Gerety Awards has announced a series of global initiatives designed to bring the industry closer to the work and conversations shaping the 2026 shortlist, at a key moment when attention turns to the ideas defining the year.
In the U.S., this conversation continues in Los Angeles with an upcoming Gerety LIVE event on May 5th. Titled “Why 2026 Will Be a Year Like No Other!”. The evening will bring together the creative community for an open mic conversation exploring the forces shaping the year ahead — from shifting industry dynamics to the ideas and pressures redefining how creativity is evaluated.
Following recent Gerety LIVE events in New York and across global creative hubs, the Los Angeles gathering reflects Gerety’s commitment to opening up the conversations behind the work — creating space for debate, perspective and connection beyond the judging room.
The Gerety Awards brings together more than 260 judges from over 50 countries, with executive jury sessions held across major creative hubs worldwide, including Los Angeles and New York.
In the lead-up to judging, Gerety will host a programme of jury insight panels in collaboration with leading advertising trade press and associations. These sessions bring together members of the executive jury to share perspectives on the standards being applied, key trends, and how creative excellence is evolving across the industry.
Following the executive jury sessions, held across 15 locations and responsible for defining the official shortlist, Gerety will once again expand access to the work through its global screening initiative.
Building on strong demand from previous years, internal screening sessions will take place across agencies and companies worldwide. The curated 30-minute reel, featuring the highest-scoring shortlisted work, will be shared with over 1,000 industry leaders across more than 70 countries, creating a shared global moment around the ideas already setting the standard for the year — and offering an early indicator of the work likely to shape the months ahead.
These sessions extend beyond the judging rooms, creating space for discussion, debate and a deeper understanding of the work defining the year.
“Gerety has always been about offering a powerful perspective on what makes work truly resonate,” said Lucía Ongay, Co-Founder of the Gerety Awards. “By opening up access through conversations and screenings, we are inviting more of the industry into that perspective — not just to see the work, but to engage with it.”
The programme reflects Gerety’s global structure, with executive juries meeting in cities worldwide to define the shortlist, followed by final judging from the Grand Jury.
Entries for the 2026 Gerety Awards are open until the final deadline of May 15.
